about

bonuses include full scores for 'b9' & 'preLieu';
plus extensive liner notes.

This 2nd of our three volumes of John Oswald's rascali klepitoire renditions of various beethovenalia features the magnum opus 'b9': an intricate abridgement of all nine of the symphonies Ludwig van Beethoven completed, in not one, but two complete performance recordings (by its commissioner, the Ensemble Modern in Frankfurt) — one version has been audio-illuminated by Stephan Mathieu at Schwebung Mastering in Germany; and the other is mastered by the 'overwhelmingly unique' Paul Dolden. This package also includes a new performance of 'preLieu' by the Bozzini Quartet, and the a previously unreleased transformation for strings by the Borges Orchestra. Plus there's the opener, a cameo appearance by the Kronos Quartet performing the only recording we've ever found of 'v&'.

versions:
1 — 16dec : liner notes completed
beta 1 —13dec : with incomplete liner notes
alpha 1 —12dec2020 : liner notes still to come
