—it was conceived, augmented (with 14 newly composed tracks) & packaged in 24 hours
—Paul Plimley and i have touched bases once in every blue moon over the past 5 decades
—the very short pieces were all plunderphonicized yesterday as glimpses of each of the tracks on Paul's solo album 'Everything in Stages' with the hope that intrepid listeners will seek out the originals.

—back in the CD era, when most releases were packaged in 'jewel' cases, often as not find images or notes on the back or inside the printed insert which, rather the the official front cover, i preferred. i would flip or or fold and reinsert this configuration with my preference facing out. thus it is with the Plimley portrait by Chick Rice found inside 'Everything in Stages', an i think telling likeness of Paul probing and listening, which i've graduated to the front cover of this album, adding the signature yellow hybrid DGG/Rascali Klepitoire banner.

John Oswald is best known as the the creator of the Plunderphonics genre, an appropriative form of recording studio creation which he began unfolding in the late ’60’s. This got him in trouble with, and also garnered invites from major record labels and musical icons. In the early ’90’s he began, with three commissions from the Kronos Quartet, to compose in what he calls the Rascali Klepitoire. ... more
